The Timken Company, Canton, OH, has joined with Garlock Sealing Technologies, an EnPro Industries company, to expand its line of industrial seals to include large-bore seals and bearing isolators, beginning in November in the U.S. and Canada.
These products will be available to authorized Timken industrial distributors and are used in applications across a range of industries, including manufacturing, food, mining, power generation, chemical processing, primary metals, pulp and paper, and oil and gas.
“Introducing these large-bore seals and isolators is part of our strategy to bring a more complete line of friction management products to the industrial distribution channel,” said Michael C. Arnold, president of Timken’s Industrial Group. “Customers have come to rely on Timken’s expertise in managing friction in a wide array of applications, and we are continually providing new products and services to help them improve their performance.”
Timken will work to expand the product line globally in 2007. The agreement with Garlock does not include mechanical seals.
The Timken Company has operations in 27 countries, sales of $5.2 billion in 2005 and 27,000 employees.
