Red Man Pipe and Supply Acquires Bear Tubular - Modern Distribution Management

Red Man Pipe and Supply Acquires Bear Tubular

Red Man Pipe and Supply Co., Tulsa, OK, (more than $700 million in annual sales) has acquired Bear Tubular Inc., Marcus Hook, PA. Bear Tubular has annual sales of more than $15.1 million. It has 33 employees, and more than $2.5 million in inventory.

Bear Tubular has supplied the heavy industrial market with complete piping packages ‘ seamless and welded pipe and tubing, fittings, flanges, valves, actuators, and related items ‘ since 1981. Its offerings in carbon and stainless steel are suited to a variety of applications, including petrochemical/refining, power generation (steam and electric), process (food, pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper), general construction, maritime, and waste/water management.

Red Man has made a significant investment in the Northeastern industrial markets by expanding its local presence and inventory. A new store there, a 19,680-square-foot facility with an acre of pipe yard, in Edison, NJ, has until now operated solely as a major valve and valve accessory distributor to the gas transmission and distribution market.

Red Man has also in recent years renovated its inventory offering in the Northeast, adding a complete line of carbon steel pipe, valves, fittings and flanges.

Red Man is a distributor of pipe, valves, fittings, industrial mill supplies, oilfield products and tubular goods. The company has operations throughout the west and southwest U.S. servicing the energy industry, petroleum industry, chemical plants, manufacturing facilities and many other specialty customers. The company serves three market segments within the oilfield equipment and industrial supply industry. Red Man has more than 70 locations.
