Illinois Tool Works Inc., Glenview, IL, has acquired Ark-Les Corporation, Stoughton, MA, a developer of highly engineered electronic and electromechanical controls.
Ark-Les is a global producer of electromechanical and electronic switches, sensors, connectors, controls, user interfaces and actuators. Products of Ark-Les are used in household appliances and automobiles.
Ark-Les will be a wholly owned subsidiary of ITW and part of ITW’s Global Appliance Group, which includes operations in the U.S., Mexico, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, India, China, Brazil and Australia.
ITW is a $12.8 billion diversified manufacturer of highly engineered components and industrial systems and consumables. The company comprises 700 business units in 48 countries.
