Carolina Electronic Assemblers, Inc. has agreed to acquire Hagemeyer North America’s wire harness assembly business in Clayton, NC, that currently operates as Hagemeyer Custom Services.
Hagemeyer Custom Services, a $9 million business, operates a 120,000-square foot manufacturing and distribution facility and offers capabilities and products in tooling, wiring harnesses, and customer cable assembly.
‘Hagemeyer’s core strategy is distribution and related services versus the light manufacturing business of HCS so this transaction is a beneficial arrangement for Hagemeyer, CEA, and our associates at Hagemeyer Custom Services,’ says CEO Dave Gabriel of Hagemeyer North America. ‘The sale of this technical and specialized business function further defines Hagemeyer’s focus and commitment to becoming a single source provider for industrial, electrical, and safety products and solutions.’
Carolina Electronics Assemblers is a manufacturer of printed circuit board assemblies and related electronic products.
Hagemeyer North America, with $1.7 billion in annual revenues, is a distributor of products and services focused on electrical materials, safety products and industrial products throughout North America. Its parent company is Hagemeyer NV, based in the Netherlands.
