DXP Enterprises, Inc., Houston, TX, has acquired Safety Alliance, a company which provides safety and environmental consulting and training services as well as safety equipment sales, service, and rental. Safety Alliance has operated in Farmington, NM, since 1995.
DXP paid $2.3 million in cash and assumed about $0.2 million in debt.
The unaudited sales and EBITDA for the acquired business for the nine months ending Sept. 30, 2006, were approximately $2 million and $0.4 million, respectively.
Greg Oliver, Senior Vice President of DXP Service Centers, said, “This acquisition, along with our recent addition of Safety International, positions DXP to be a significant provider of high-end safety services in the energy and mining sectors.”
DXP Enterprises, Inc. is a distributor of pumps, bearings, power transmission, seals, hose, safety, fluid power, electrical and industrial supplies.
