Monomoy Capital Partners, L.P. announced that its portfolio company, Barjan LLC, distributor of consumer products to travel centers, truck stops, car washes and convenience stores, has acquired the Astatic Mobile Communications business from Omnitronics, LLC.
Astatic has been the leading manufacturer of aftermarket CB microphones and other CB radio equipment for over 70 years. An innovator in microphone technology, Astatic is well-recognized in all of its markets, including truck stop, travel center, marine and automotive, for both its microphones and its antenna products.
“The acquisition of Astatic makes Barjan the dominant manufacturer and distributor of aftermarket CB components in North America and opens up significant new distribution channels for the Company,” stated Daniel Collin, a Monomoy principal.
