On April 8, Beloit, WI-based roofing and other building materials distributor ABC Supply Co. will acquire roofing supply distributor Herman’s Supply Company, a deal which marks ABC Supply’s introduction to the Ontario, Canada, market.
The residential and commercial roofing products, siding and related accessories distributor’s West Seneca, NY, location will become part of ABC Supply’s U.S. operations while the other 11 Ontario locations will operate as part of ABC Supply’s Canadian division, according to an April 2 news release.
Herman’s Supply Company was founded by Herman and Anne Schrompf in 1969 in St. Catharines, Ontario. It’s single U.S. location serves the Buffalo market.
This acquisition marks growth in the New York market for ABC Supply — No. 2 on MDM’s 2023 Top Building Materials/Construction Distributors List, and its first introduction into Ontario.
Despite being its first entrance into Ontario, ABC Supply is no stranger to that side of the the border. The deal follows two others in British Columbia: Cedar Grove Roofing Supply with seven locations, and All Canadian Building Products.
