U.S. distributors’sales of PT/MC products have fluctuated all year, with six out of ten months of positive growth in sales, according to the Power Transmission Distributors Association’s October 2007 trend data.  ; October sales came in at 5.3 percent over September sales.

Year-to-year comparisons have been in the positive all year; sales in October 2007 came in
9.4 percent higher than in October 2006. Accounts receivable collection days decreased 6.8 percent over September 2007. The October 2007 confidence index for U.S. distributors dropped to 6.2 (on a 10-point scale) after holding steady at 6.6. for the past seven months.
