Illinois Tool Works Inc. (NYSE: ITW), Glenview, IL, reported sales for 2016 of $13.6 billion, up 1 percent from 2015. Profit increased 7.2 percent to $2 billion.
For the fourth quarter, sales were $3.4 billion, up 4 percent from the same period a year ago. Profit increased 12.7 to $507 million.
