Graybar, St. Louis, MO, reported sales for 2012 of $5.4 billion, up 0.7 percent from 2011. Profit increased 6 percent to $86.3 million.
Sales to the electrical market sector during the year increased 3.5 percent, while sales to the communications/data market sector decreased 5.3 percent.
For the fourth quarter, sales were up 0.3 percent over the same period a year ago.
“Graybar finished 2012 with positive results as we embraced change and prepared our organization for the future,” said Kathleen M. Mazzarella, president and CEO. “We achieved sales growth for the third consecutive year, and we achieved near-record profitability for our employees and shareholders.”
