Metal manufacturer Alcoa (NYSE: AA), New York, NY, reported sales for 2016 of $9.3 billion, a decrease of 20.2 percent compared to the prior year. Alcoa reported a loss of $400 million for the year, compared to a loss of $863 million the prior year.
For the fourth quarter, sales were $2.5 billion, an increase of 3.5 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Alcoa reported a loss of $125 million for the quarter, compared to a loss of $826 million the prior year.
