Imperial Dade Adds Packaging Distributors in New York, Ontario

Foodservice packaging supplies, industrial products and JanSan supplies distributor Imperial Dade marked its 10th and 11th deals of the year.

Foodservice packaging supplies, industrial products and JanSan supplies distributor Imperial Dade will surpass 10 acquisitions in 2024 with the recently announced addition of two packaging supplies distributors.

On May 15, Imperial Dade announced deals to acquire Woodbridge, ON, Canada-based custom packaging distributor Canpaco, and Rochester, NY-based industrial packaging distributor 3G Packaging.

The deals follow two earlier acquisitions in May: R.D. McMillen and Wolfpack Packing.

Imperial Dade officials say they remain committed to “the strategic focus created more than 15 years ago to continue to grow both through organic initiatives and a disciplined acquisition process.”

The transactions mark the 86th and 87th acquisitions for Imperial Dade under the leadership of Robert and Jason Tillis, Chairman and CEO of Imperial Dade, respectively. Financial terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.

Canpaco

Imperial Dade will add custom environmental packaging providers Canpaco, Crystal Poly Converters, Arcadian Paper Converters and Canadian Paper & Packaging Co. (collectively Canpaco). The distributor also offers value-added services.

By leveraging Imperial Dade Canada’s platform, Canpaco customers can expect the same customized service coupled with a greater offering of products and solutions, company officials said in a news release.

“Imperial Dade continues to expand its presence across Canada, and we are looking forward to continuing together in our mission to organically grow and provide unmatched customer service throughout North America,” Jason Tillis said.

3G Packaing

Imperial Dade expands its coverage in New York with the acquisition of industrial packaging distributor 3G Packaging.

The company serves a diverse customer base throughout upstate New York from its three locations in Rochester, Buffalo and Syracuse.

3G was established in 2016 by Vince Stango following the merger of Acker-Pak and CIPS, two companies in the industrial distribution industry.

The acquisition will offer 3G customers a diversified product and solution offering.
