Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions president Christophe Sut will leave Sandvik to become CEO of Scanfil, an electrical and electronics manufacturer based in Sievi, Finland.
Sweden-based cutting tools manufacturer Sandvik announced Feb. 11 in a news release that Sut would be leaving to become CEO of a different company as of Aug. 11, 2023. Sut has been president of Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions, which is Sandvik’s Business Area segment, since October 2021. Sandvik has initiated its search for a successor, according to the release.
“Christophe Sut has made a strong contribution during his time at Sandvik, strengthening our digital manufacturing offering,” Sandvik president and CEO Stefan Widing said in the release.
“He has been an appreciated member of the Group Executive Management. While we of course would have liked to see him stay at Sandvik, this also shows our capability to build excellent leaders within Sandvik. I wish him all the best for the future.”
Scanfil confirmed in a separate news release that Sut will take over as CEO no later than Sept. 1, 2023. Current CEO Petteri Jokitalo will continue in his role until Sut joins the company, after which Jokitalo will act as an advisor to Scanfil’s board of directors, according to the release.
“I am honored to be appointed as the new CEO of Scanfil. It is one of the top players in the European EMS industry,” Sut said in the release. “The company is financially strong and fast growing. It is a highly appreciated business partner among its customers and suppliers, and a respected employer among its employees. We have all the elements to build future success.”
“On behalf of the Board, I would like to welcome Christophe to the company,” Scanfil board chair Harri Takanen said in the release. “We are delighted to get him on board and lead Scanfil to the next phase of international growth and margin improvement.”
