Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. (NYSE: RS), Los Angeles, CA, reported sales for the second quarter of $2.5 billion, up 12.3 percent compared the prior year quarter. Profit for the quarter grew 2.1 percent to $103 million.
Sales for the first six months were $4.9 billion, up 12.1 percent year-over-year. Profit increased 11.2 percent to $214.7 million.
