Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. (NYSE: RS), Los Angeles, CA, reported sales for the third quarter of $2.5 billion, up 12.1 percent compared to the prior year quarter. Profit for the quarter was $97.3 million, up from $49.5 million in the third quarter of 2016.
Sales for the first nine months were $7.3 billion, up 12.1 percent year-over-year. Profit increased 28.6 percent to $312 million.
