Pittsburgh, PA-based metalworking products manufacturer Kennametal appointed David Bersaglini as Vice President of the company and President of its Metal Cutting segment, effective Aug. 26.
An industrial veteran with nearly 25 years of experience, Bersaglini most recently worked for Copeland — a spin-off of Emerson — as VP and General Manager of its $1 billion Global Refrigeration segment. Previously with Copeland, he managed a $650 million P&L as VP and General Manager of Refrigeration. Bersaglini originally joined Emerson in 2021 and progressed through leadership roles in product management, marketing, sales, strategic planning and general management.
“Dave brings a strong track record of success to Kennametal, with extensive experience leading businesses in the global industrial space and a proven ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives,” Kennametal President and CEO said in an Aug. 5 news release. “His valuable commercial expertise, growth mindset and results orientation make him the ideal choice to lead the Metal Cutting business. Dave will be instrumental in our journey to create shareholder value through growth, margin expansion and a balanced capital allocation strategy.”
At Kennametal, Bersaglini will be responsible for global business, including advancing the strategy, driving operation excellence and delivering profitable growth.
