Metalworking and MRO supplies distributor BlackHawk Industrial promoted Bob Miller to the role of General Manager of Fasteners.
Miller joined BlackHawk in 2020 through the company’s acquisition of Machine Tool Supply (MTS). He helped to integrate MTS’s processes into BlackHawk’s operations as part of the National Accounts team.
“Bob’s exceptional leadership, combined with his deep understanding of our business and customers, makes him the ideal choice to lead our Fasteners division,” BlackHawk President and CEO John Mark said in an Aug. 19 news release. “His track record of driving operational excellence and his strategic vision will be invaluable as we continue to expand our global footprint. I am confident in Bob’s ability to elevate the Fasteners team and deliver exceptional results.”
Prior to his promotion, Miller led BlackHawk’s Supply Chain Services organization. He will assume the role of GM of Fasteners as Keith Shope — the current GM — prepares for retirement.
This is the latest in a series of operational announcements this summer from BlackHawk, as it announced a new Fasteners Implementation Manager on Aug. 1; announced new operational initiatives on July 23 that include a centralized vending replenishment and billing organization, as well as a safety, quality and environmental team; and announced other operational promotions on July 16.
Tulsa, OK-based BlackHawk is No.34 on MDM’s Top Distributors List for Industrial Supplies, and No. 15 for MRO.
