In its eighth acquisition of the year, industrial distributor Motion & Control Enterprises has added Pasadena, Texas-based process filtration product distributor Filter Resources.

Parker Hannifin Filtration (Houston), which operates under the name Filter Resources, is an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of Parker Hannifin Corporation. It serves the downstream oil and gas, petrochemical, and specialty chemical markets, offering a range of liquid and air process filtration solutions.

The company operates from two locations in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Pasadena and was previously part of the Parker Industrial Process Filtration Division.

“By combining our resources and expertise, this acquisition positions the combined business to accelerate growth and provide an even more comprehensive suite of highly-engineered solutions to our valued customers,” MCE Chairman and CEO Charles Hale said in a Dec. 4 press release.

Filter Resources will continue to be led by Sidney Mondin, who will have expanded responsibilities as General Manager of MCE’s newly formed filtration business unit.

On MDM’s 2023 Top Distributors Lists, MCE ranks No. 50 among industrial distributors and No. 9 for fluid power.

This fall, the Pennsylvania-based distributor acquired Indianapolis-based Nova Hydraulics, and Buford, Georgia-based Applied Industrial Controls and Engineered Systems Group.
