In its fourth acquisition of the year, infrastructure supplies distributor Core & Main will grow its geosynthetics footprint across the western United States with the addition of NW Geosynthetics, doing business as ACF West.
Headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, ACF West is a distributor of geosynthetic materials and provider of soil stabilization solutions with six locations in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Utah. It has provided municipality, contractor and Department of Transportation customers solutions for geosynthetics, erosion control, stormwater management and terrain stabilization for over three decades.
The acquisition will extend Core & Main’s distribution reach and enhance its geosynthetic product and service offerings, company officials said in a March 11 news release.
“Their expertise in engineered solutions will enable us to provide our customers with access to a wider range of capabilities,” said Core & Main CEO Steve LeClair.
ACF West President Susan Schmidt added: “I am extremely proud of this company that my late husband Dick and I built together. He was a pioneer in the geosynthetics industry, and we are genuinely excited to partner with Core & Main, a forward-thinking company that shares our commitment to superior service, employee well-being and innovation.”
St. Louis-based Core & Main ranked No. 1 on MDM’s 2023 Top Distributors List for Industrial PVF and No. 9 for Industrial Distributors.
Most recently, Core & Main completed the acquisition of Denver-based waterworks product distributor Dana Kepner Co. and associated entities.
