Infrastructure supplies distributor Core & Main will acquire Denver-based waterworks product distributor Dana Kepner Co. and associated entities.
Founded in 1933, Dana Kepner has 19 locations across the U.S., operating in Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Nevada, Rhode Island, Texas and Wyoming. Dana Kepner distributes water, wastewater, storm drainage, geotextile products, and related specialty tools and accessories. It offers a variety of waterworks products, including pipes, valves and fittings, meters and meter accessories.

“Like the Core & Main team, they add value by serving as knowledgeable and trusted advisors to municipalities and contractors,” said Core & Main CEO Steve LeClair in a Jan. 30 news release. “We are excited about this opportunity to extend our geographic reach, expand the range of products and services that we offer, and add key talent into our organization.”
The distributors entered into a definitive agreement. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions.
On Jan. 16, St. Louis-based Core & Main — No. 1 on MDM’s 2023 Top Distributors List for Industrial PVF and No. 9 for Industrial Distributors — announced the completion of their previously-announced acquisition of Lee Supply Company, and on Jan. 9 they announced they will acquire Eastern Supply.
