Instrumentation and automation, rotating equipment, valve, purification and thermal equipment distributor Relevant Industrial acquired Loy Instrument, Inc.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Indianapolis, IN-based Loy Instrument is a provider of process control and combustion solutions. Established in 1937, the company has three core professional services: engineering solutions, production distribution and support services and ISO17025 certification services.
Relevant said the partnership strengthens its capacity to provide solutions to customers across industries, including refining, petrochemical, aerospace, metals, pharmaceuticals, food processing, manufacturing and power generation.
“The addition of Loy Instrument’s expertise strengthens our ability to tackle complex challenges in combustion and process control, providing even greater value to our customers,” Relevant Industrial CEO John Carte said in a Dec. 23 news release.
The acquisition broadens Relevant’s geographic presence in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Michigan. Relevant said the expansion enables the company to offer support and specialized expertise to a wider range of customers.
Relevant added that it will introduce Kroma Americas to its network, boosting its process control and industrial services. Established in 2020, Krom Americas has stock in Indianapolis to ensure faster delivery of products across the U.S. and Canada, as well as enhanced service for customers.
This is Relevant’s third acquisition of 2024, including Evansville IN-based Control Specialists on Nov. 19 and Tomball, TX-based CHEMFLOW on Jan. 10.
