France-based metalworking fluids and lubricant supplier Motul acquired Chem Arrow Corp.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Motul said that the acquisition aligns with the company’s goals for industrial growth, which will be pursued through acquisitions in key market segments and regions.
California-based Chem Arrow Corp. is a manufacturer of lubricants to the HVAC market. Founded in 1977, the company operates subsidiaries in Canada and the U.K. developing and manufacturing metalworking fluids and lubricants for special applications and industrial cleaners.
“The acquisition of Chem Arrow Corp. marks and important milestone in our external growth strategy,” MotulTech CEO Stéphane Bringues said in an Oct. 16 news release. “We see a lot of synergies and development opportunities with this growing player. It reinforces our know-how and expertise in the service of sustainable development in our industry.
Motul said the acquisition broadens its offerings for existing clients and enhances its presence in the Americas, where the U.S. is the “largest market for metalworking fluids, valued at $2.8 billion.”
