In a strategic move to enhance customer service and optimize its supply chain, First Companies — the parent company of plumbing and HVAC supplies distributor First Supply — plans to build a 308,000-square-foot distribution center in West Salem, WI.
The First Companies Central Distribution Center will begin construction in April with operations to begin during the first quarter of 2025. It will support the distributor’s presence in Western Wisconsin.
“We are thrilled to make this investment in Western Wisconsin where our business was founded 126 years ago,” President and CEO Katie Poehling Seymour said in a March 25 press release. “Over the past five generations, we’ve grown across the upper Midwest, but our hub has always been in La Crosse County.”
