Singer Industrial hasn’t slowed down on the expansion front in 2023’s fourth quarter, as the fluid power, hosing and industrial products distributor announced its eighth acquisition of the year on Dec. 1.
Dallas-based Singer said it has joined forces with Ray Lewis & Company, a distributor of industrial and hydraulic hoses, fittings and supplies based in Lisbon, Ohio. The company serves customers within the construction, food and beverage, agriculture, recycling and general industrial markets from its northeast Ohio locations in Lisbon and Youngstown.
Ray Lewis & Co. will operate within Singer’s Industrial Rubber division. The company was founded in 1933 and has been owned and operated by Tad Rose since 1998.
“We are pleased to have Ray Lewis & Company join our growing hose business. We look forward to their contributions which will expedite our growth in Northeast Ohio,” Singer Industrial’s Rubber Division President Sam Petilo said in a news release. “We’re confident in the value this partnership will deliver to Ray Lewis & Company’s customers.”
Singer said the addition of Ray Lewis & Co. brings its footprint to over 90 locations with more than 1,300 employees.
Singer’s most recent acquisitions before Ray Lewis were in the form of Viking Hoses and Fittings (Randleman, North Carolina) and Hotsy Equipment of Colorado and Wyoming (Greeley, Colorado) — both announced Oct. 31.
Singer Industrial rebranded from SBP Holdings in March of 2023.
Singer Industrial ranked No. 40 on MDM’s 2023 Top Industrial Distributors List, along with No. 15 for Fluid Power and No. 4 for Hose/Hose Accessories.
