Dallas, TX-based industrial rubber and fluid power distributor Singer Industrial acquired Winnipeg-based MEP Brothers — a supplier of industrial and hydraulic hose, gaskets and environment spill response products. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
MEP Brothers will support Singer Industrial’s customers in the Canadian markets and will continue to be led by past owners Jeff and Jamie Gural.
“We are excited to join Singer Industrial in their effort to grow and supply the hose market. The merger opens the door to endless possibilities for all involved. We truly appreciate the opportunity and look forward to the future together,” MEP Brothers General Manager Jeff Gural said in a July 31 news release.
Singer Industrial’s North American footprint increased to more than 100 locations with over 1,500 employees with the addition of MEP Brothers.
“Jeff and Jamie have cultivated a high-performing team of energetic and knowledgeable individuals deeply committed to customer satisfaction,” Singer Industrial Regional Manager Chris Reed added. “Their team aligns seamlessly with our company culture and shared focus on exceptional customer experiences.”
Singer Industrial — No. 36 on MDM’s Top Distributor’s List for Industrial Supplies — announced new leadership appointments on June 18, including Peter Haberbosch as its new president and Chris Holder as its new COO.
