Dallas-based rubber and fluid products distributor SBP Holdings has rebranded as Singer Industrial. The rebrand took effect March 6, according to a news release. SBP ranked as the No. 2 Hose/Accessories Distributor and No. 36 Industrial Distributor on MDM’s 2022 Top Distributors list.
The Singer Industrial brand better reflects “the group’s heritage and highlights its focus on industrial businesses and applications of all types,” the company said. As part of the brand update, Singer Industrial has created a new website and social media accounts.
Singer Industrial was founded in 1999 as Singer Equities, which eventually became Singer Bishop Products (SBP) Holdings. Singer Industrial is a portfolio company of New York-based private equity firm AEA Investors.
The rebrand comes just over a year after Singer sold its Bishop Lifting Products unit in February 2022. Singer has been active on the M&A front since then, most recently acquiring Canadian hydraulic equipment distributor Uni-Draulik earlier this month.
Singer Industrial President and CEO Craig Osborne was a panelist in MDM’s M&A Summit in February. His M&A insights were featured in a pair of MDM Premium blogs in March.
