Birmingham, AL-based MRO replacement parts distributor Motion Industries agreed to acquire LSI Supply Inc, and its sister company 273 Ontario — which trades as LSI.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Windsor, Canada-based LSI — a bearing, seals, power transmission, fluid power components and industrial supplies distributor — operates across five area locations.
The acquisition is expected to close later this month.
“This acquisition will broaden our leadership position in eastern Canada,” Motion President James Howe said in an Aug. 14 news release. “LSI’s talent, offerings and market complement Motion’s perfectly. The business culture is an especially good fit, which is critically important when joining forces and providing premier customer service. We look forward to welcoming LSI’s 30+ employees and creating significant opportunities for our teammates and supplier partners, which will increase value for our customers.”
Motion’s most recent acquisition was Allied Circuits — an electrical and automation company based in Buffalo, NY — announced in May.
