Packer Fastener is growing again. On Sept. 9, the Green Bay, Wisconsin-based industrial distributor announced it is expanding its Midwest footprint by adding a new branch location in the Twin Cities, Minnesota metro area.
The company’s new branch at 2526 Northland Drive in Mendota Heights — a southern suburb — will be Packer’s 10th physical location when it opens in October and the company’s fourth addition in the past 18 months. It marks Packer’s third state, as its other locations are across Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
Packer Fastener President Terry Albrecht told Modern Distribution Management that those new locations have led to nearly 50% year-over-year revenue growth for the company and led it to earn a spot on the 2022 Inc. 5000 as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S.
The new 10,000-square-foot location will stock Packer Fastener’s full line of threaded fasteners, along with its expanding product line that includes safety, cutting tools, abrasives, chemicals, welding, jan-san supplies, fittings, hand tools and electrical. The new branch will include counter sales.
“The expansion into the Twin Cities will continue to build out our Midwest footprint and allow us to bring additional value to our customers and prospects in that region, along with mitigating logistical costs by maximizing distribution and transfer routes,” Albrecht said. “We are excited to bring our people and culture-first brand to the market.”
Besides its physical branches, Packer Fastener also has a national sales division that services customers outside of its store territories, along with its logistical business unit, Packer Freight.
