In a move that will diversify its offering, Japan-based fastener manufacturer MEIDOH acquired Pilgrim Screw Corp., which does business as Pilgrim Aerospace Fasteners.
Pilgrim is a manufacturer of screws, bolts, rivets, clevis pins, and other fasteners for the aerospace market, while MEIDOH is the premier supplier of bolts to Toyota, and produces nuts and related forging parts for the automotive industry.
“Pilgrim is a trusted supplier to the aerospace industry,” MEIDOH President and CEO Yasutaka Hasegawa said in a Jan. 22 news release. “This acquisition will allow us to diversify our business while furthering our mission of being the world’s number one fastener manufacturer.”
The acquisition will add Pilgrim’s 24,500-square-foot manufacturing facility in Chandler, AZ, and a small office in Providence, RI, to MEIDOH’s existing of production locations in Japan, China, Indonesia, Thailand, and the United States.
“With MEDIOH’s resources, Pilgrim will reach a new level of growth and success,” said Geoff Grove, President of Pilgrim Aerospace Fasteners.
