Specialty fastener master distributor LindFast Solutions Group (LSG) enters a new adjacent product category with the addition of Merco Tape, a long-standing master distributor of tape and related accessories.

Hillburn, NY-based Merco Tape offers varieties of adhesive tape, including duct, electrical and masking tapes, as well as specialty tapes for extreme and critical applications such as aerospace, defense, medicine and the sciences. The distributor offers the Merco Tape brand, national and international brands, generic blank core and custom private label products.

“We look forward to learning from the Merco team and in expanding Merco’s existing northeast footprint across LSG’s facilities,” LSG officials said in a May 10 news release. “We think this combination is very powerful.”

For the foreseeable future, operations under existing company policies will continue at Merco’s facility in Hillburn, and the company will remain on the same ERP system, LSG officials said. Over time LSG will stock Merco’s products across its existing facilities throughout North America.

“We expect very little will change in the near term,” LSG officials added. “Our goal is to maintain the strong Merco Tape brand in the market and their relentless focus on meeting customers’ tape needs. As a result, very little on the front end/customer facing aspects of the business will change.”
