Automotive and industrial fasteners manufacturer and distributor Auveco appointed Edward (Ed) Gerber as CEO, effective Jan. 6.
Cold Spring, KY-based Auveco is a distributor of automotive fasteners for the body hardware aftermarket, as well as a range of general industrial fasteners, including anchors, bolts, nuts, pins, keystock, retaining rings, rivets, screws and threaded inserts.
Most recently, Gerber served as President and CEO of Summit Electric Supply, where he led the company through its sale to Sonepar in 2024. Before that, he was President and CEO of the Industrial Supply Association (ISA), where Auveco said he revitalized engagement and participation across the industrial MROP sector, including manufacturers, distributors and independent manufacturer representative companies.
Earlier in his career, led the sales & marketing teams at Industrial Distribution Group (now Vallen), where was part of the leadership team that facilitated the company’s sale to Sonepar in 2014.
“Ed is a proven leader with an extensive history of driving profitable growth across various industrial distribution business models,” GHK Managing Partner and Auveco Chair said in a Jan. 14 news release. “We are excited to partner with Ed to build upon the Company’s strong historical performance and leading market position. Together, we aim to accelerate the commercial organization with the Company, expand customer engagement and selectively pursue accretive M&A to further enhance Auveco’s position as a leader in the automotive and industrial fastener market.”
