Fasteners and industrial supplies distributor AFC Industries acquired Meg Technologies Inc. — a provider of military standard aerospace fasteners to OEMs, maintenance facilities, Department of Defense customers and a variety of other aerospace distributors.
Founded in 1981 and based in Huntington Beach, CA, MTI is led by Owner and President Tammy Buck.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. It marks AFC’s third acquisition of 2024 after seven in 2023. AFC has been owned by Bertram Capital since April 2021.
“We were looking to strengthen our capabilities and position within the aerospace market and MTI offered us the ability to do that while adding a team that has a great reputation and relationship with its customers and suppliers,” AFC Chief Executive Kevin Godin said in a May 20 news release. “Putting these two businesses together strengthens them both. We look forward to working together toward shared success.”
Godin joined the MDM Podcast for an August 2023 episode to discuss AFC’s acquisition strategy.
“We have spent many years building our business around providing excellent quality and service to our customers, and it was important to find a partner that understood and valued what has made us successful and would build on it,” Buck added.
