Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Oxford, AL-based Alabama Industrial Distributors serves industrial, construction, institutional and governmental markets. Founded in 1869, the company evolved from a leather and harness shop into a distributor of safety, MRO and power transmission solutions.
“With their dedication to customer experience and commitment to continued growth, we are excited for continued success far into the future,” Turner Supply CEO and President Chip Schramm said in an Oct. 3 news release.
Turner Supply said the acquisition enhances its presence in Eastern Alabama and aligns with Alabama Industrial Distributors’ values, providing customers with expanded MROP brands, product categories and value-added services like e-commerce and vending.
“Turner Supply has the tools necessary to take care of the customer in today’s market and the product and service offerings that make us excited about the future of the family businesses uniting us,” Alabama Industrial Distributors Owner Richard Smith said.
