Manchester, England-based MRO distributor Brammer has agreed to be sold to private equity firm for more than £220 million (US$273.8 million), according to a report from Insider Media Ltd.
AI Robin, a subsidiary of funds managed by global investor Advent International Corp., and Brammer announced that they have reached agreement on the terms of an all-cash offer for the company, the report said.
"We have admired Brammer's business for some time and are delighted to have the opportunity to partner with Brammer to further strengthen its leading position in the European industrial MRO distribution market," said Jan Janshen, a managing partner of Advent. "Advent's deep sector expertise and our operational focus will help Brammer to execute a turnaround strategy and strengthen its commitment to its customers and suppliers."
Advent's distributor portfolio includes Distribution International Inc. and MORSCO.
