Electrical supplies distributor Van Meter has a new chief information officer.

The Cedar Rapids, IA-based company announced June 24 that Martina Schubert has joined as its CIO, bringing more than 25 years of experience in information technology, transformational leadership, enterprise system management, business intelligence and cybersecurity.

Schubert previously served in various technology and leadership roles at companies that include Maytag, Walgreens, Blyth HomeScents, Grinnell Mutual, Continental Western Group and DLL Financial Solutions.

“Martina’s impressive background in the technology space, as well as her commitment to process improvement and making business operations more connected, efficient and secure, make her a great fit for her new role at Van Meter,” company President and CEO Lura McBride said in a news release. “We welcome Martina to our team and look forward to her contributions to our future growth and success.”

Employee-owned Van Meter charted at No. 16 on MDM’s 2024 Top Electrical, Data & Security Distributors List.
