Electrical supply distributor Walters Wholesale Electric — a subsidiary of U.S. Electrical Services Inc. (USESI) — acquired Desert Electrical Supply and Pomona Wholesale Electric.
Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
Palm Springs, CA-based Desert Electrical Supply is a distributor of electrical supplies. Founded in 1972, the company runs more than 33 locations and employs over 500 people.
Eric Stevens — the previous owner of Desert Electric — will stay involved during the transition process, Walters said. Walters intends to maintain the Desert Electric brand while incorporating both companies into its logistics and inventory system.
“Walters Wholesale Electric Co. is thrilled to announce the acquisition of Desert Electric Supply and Pomona Wholesale Electric,” a Walters Spokesperson said in a company news release in mid-November. “This includes locations in Pomona, Valley in Indio, Palm Desert and Palm Springs. This expansion allows us to enhance our coverage across Southern California while maintaining our commitment to exceptional service and growth.”
Pomona, CA-based Pomona Wholesale Electric likewise is a distributor of electrical supplies. Established in 1964, the company offers customers wiring devices, light-emitting diodes, conduit fittings, power distribution equipment and more.
