Troy Industrial Solutions, Watervliet, NY, has acquired B&J Electric Motor Repair, Ansonia, CT. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
B&J Electric provides motor repair, sales and field service. The company has eight employees and $1.7 million in annual sales.
“With this acquisition we can expand our offerings to industrial clients in central Connecticut,” said Jason Smith, president of Troy Industrial Solutions.
The acquisition of B&J is the first for the company and is part of a long term growth strategy. Representatives indicated the potential for job creation and revenue growth as two factors impacting their decision.
Troy Industrial Solutions provides repair, sales and maintenance of electromechanical equipment for industrial manufacturing. Troy also operates a hydraulic repair and rubber fabrication facility.
