Harrisburg, PA-based electrical supplies distributor Schaedler Yesco is celebrating 100 years in business throughout 2024, reflecting on its journey from hometown seller to a regional leader with 29 locations throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York.

The company has been busy so far in its centennial year, starting 2024 with adding new Pennsylvania locations in Grove City and Clarion. Those additions came with the acquisition of Clarion Electric Supply, which completed in early January.

In March, SY held its 2024 Expo East at the Hershey Convention Center, where it hosted more than 1,100 attendees, offered over 75 learning opportunities and displayed over 100 exhibits and demonstrations. 

The distributor will host a similar event — 2024 Expo West — this September at Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh. It will mark SY’s first expo event in its western territory.

“It’s an exciting year for us,” company President Farrah Mittel said in a news release. “We’re growing, we’re planning an event unlike any other the western Pennsylvania market has ever seen, and it’s our anniversary year. There’s a lot to celebrate.”

Meanwhile, SY’s new 90,000-square-foot regional distribution center just north of Pittsburgh — open since October of 2023 — hosted a grand opening on April 24 that included 30 vendor partners and customer training sessions.

The company plans to hold more local events and promotions throughout the rest of 2024 to commemorate its 100th year with customers. That includes a celebration with all SY employees this October in Harrisburg.
