Electrical products distributor Schaedler Yesco Distribution Inc. announced it purchased a new corporate headquarters office in Harrisburg, PA.
The company completed the purchase of a 57,000-square-foot office space to serve as its new headquarters. The building was previously the headquarters of 1st Federal Credit Union.
“Between new locations, new services and greater efficiencies, our growth has allowed us to invest in our future,” Schaedler Yesco President Farrah Mittel said in a Dec. 27 news release. “As we move our corporate services to a larger facility just 10 miles away from our current location, it opens up space that we can use to grow our services offering, increase warehouse space, add warehouse automation and so much more.”
The company said that it encountered challenges in the area due to the upcoming widening of the I-83 roadway directly in front of the building. As a result, relocating its corporate offices allows the company to expand its warehouse footprint into the now-vacant office space.
“We considered several options as we contemplated how construction would affect us,” Schaedler Yesco CEO Greg Schaedler added. “But in the end, the project turned out to have a silver lining. Not only have we found a new space that offers significantly more room for our corporate teams, but it gives us additional opportunities at our existing location.”
The company expects the new facility to be move-in ready by June 2025.
Celebrating its 100th year of operation throughout 2024, Schaedler Yesco has 29 locations throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York.
