Birmingham, AL-based electrical distributor Mayer — a Rexel company — appointed Pat Daley to President of Mayer, effective Jan 2.
Daley will succeed Mike Kidney, who is set to retire at the end of 2024.
“We spent a great deal of time considering the right person for the president of Mayer, and we all reached a unanimous decision that Pat was the one person we felt could lead us forward,” Kidney said in a Dec. 16 news release.
Most recently, Daley served as VP of industrial sales and strategic accounts at Schneider Electric, leading initiatives such as saturation strategy, AI-driven customer acquisition and leadership development. Previously, he was area sales manager for Schneider’s Southeast region. Before Schneider, he spent 10 years at Easton.
“Mayer’s reputation as a customer-first organization, commitment to innovation and the passion for its employees are what set it apart,” Daley said. “I am excited about the opportunities before us. My focus will be on empowering every member of this team, ensuring we have the resources, support and vision to excel in the industry.”
Rexel’s North American operations was No. 5 on MDM’s Top Distributors List for Electrical, Data and Security Supplies.
