A little over a week after Graybar announced the pending retirement of its longtime sales leader, the electrical distributor has named a successor.
The St. Louis-based electrical supplies provider named Ellen Rebne as its new Senior Vice President of Sales, effective June 1, when David Maxwell retires from the position after nearly four decades with the company.
Rebne has been with Graybar for 35 years and currently serves as the company’s District Vice President for its Chicago District. After starting her Graybar tenure in accounting and finance, she moved into sales and business leadership roles.
“We congratulate Ellen on her promotion. Ellen is highly respected within Graybar and throughout the industry for her leadership, her experience, and her passion for our customers,” company Chairman, President and CEO Kathy Mazzarella said in a March 28 news release. “As she joins our senior executive team, I am confident that she will play a vital role in sustaining profitable long-term growth for Graybar.”
In sharing its 2023 full year financial results on March 14, Graybar reported that its 2023 net sales increased 4.8% vs. 2022 to a record $11.0 billion, while net income of $463.4 million was likewise a company record that increased 2.3%.
On MDM’s 2023 Top Distributors Lists, Graybar charted at No. 3 for electrical, data & security distributors and No. 20 for industrial supplies distributors.
