Power equipment manufacturer Generac Holdings Inc. (NYSE: GNRC), Waukesha, WI, reported sales for 2016 of $1.4 billion, up 9.7 percent from 2015. Profit increased 27.1 percent to $98.8 million.

Fourth-quarter sales were $417.4 million, an increase of 16.7 percent from the same period the previous year. Profit was $41.5 million, compared to $9.2 million in the same quarter the previous year.

Residential sales in the fourth quarter were up 20 percent year-over-year, while commercial and industrial sales increased 12.3 percent.
