Power equipment manufacturer Generac Holdings Inc. (NYSE: GNRC), Waukesha, WI, reported sales for 2017 of $1.7 billion, up 15.8 percent from 2016. Profit increased 61.3 percent to $159.4 million.

Fourth-quarter sales were $488 million, an increase of 16.9 percent from the same period the previous year. Profit was $81.2 million, compared to $41.5 million in the same quarter the previous year.

Residential sales in the fourth quarter were up 11.1 percent year-over-year, while commercial and industrial sales increased 27.1 percent.
