Emerson, a St. Louis, MO-based industrial and electrical equipment manufacturer, promoted 35-year industry veteran Andy Schwegel to Vice President of Global Sales at the company’s Appleton Group division.
In a July 24 news release, Emerson notes that Schwegel — previously VP of International Operations & Industrial and Commercial Sales — has been instrumental in driving growth and top-line revenue expansion for Appleton Group brands across over 2,500 distributor partners. Schwegel gained experience in the industry working for Eaton and Grainger prior to his 22-year tenure with Emerson.
“Andy has a long-standing record of bolstering sales and delivering on strategic business opportunities,” Appleton Group President Anthony Hartman said the release. “His deep understanding of the harsh and hazardous location electrical markets, combined with a wealth of executive experience, makes him the ideal leader for our entire global sales operation. His ability to continuously accelerate sales growth and navigate complex market landscapes will be pivotal as we expand the Appleton footprint worldwide to meet the demand for safe, reliable and efficient electrical solutions.”
Appleton Group – acquired by Emerson in 2014 from SPX Corporation – provides electrical supplies to a range of industries and conditions.
