Minnesota-based electrical and industrial supplies distributor DSG acquired Peoria Pump, effective Nov. 4.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Established in 1947, Peoria Pump is a distributor of pumps, pipe and geothermal supplies to well drillers throughout the Midwest. The company operates from two branches in Peoria and Rockford, IL.
It marks DSG’s first entry into Illinois and its ninth state of operation across the greater U.S. Midwest and Great Plains, joining Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota.
“The Peoria Pump team has always taken great pride in providing exceptional service to their customers for generations, which coupled with the strength of DSG, will provide an outstanding platform for their customers’ and communities’ continued growth,” DSG President and CEO Paul Kennedy said in a Nov. 7 news release.
Peoria Pump will operate as “Peoria Pump: A DSG Company” for the time being, with plans for rebranding in the future. Terry Cole, owner of Peoria Pump, will stay on during the transition to help ensure a successful integration.
On Oct. 2, DSG announced the opening of 60,000-square-foot distribution center in Butte, MT.
The company is No. 32 on MDM’s Top Distributor’s List for electrical supplies.
