Cleveland, Ohio-based lighting and controls manufacturer Current Lighting Solutions announced Feb. 27 it has appointed Bill Tolley as its interim CEO, effective immediately. He replaces departing CEO Manish Bhandari.
Tolley has served on Current’s Board of Directors for several years. He has decades of experience in the electrical and lighting industries, having previously served as a senior executive with Hubbell Inc. Tolley will focus on implementing the company’s strategic and tactical agendas while identifying and onboarding a permanent CEO, according to a news release.
The release did not give a reason for the departure of Bhandari, who had been with Current since December 2019, when it was known as GE Current, a Daintree Company. Current noted that Bhandari was instrumental in guiding the company through the COVID-19 pandemic and its transformative acquisition of Hubbell’s C&I Lighting business.
