Fargo, ND-based electrical distributor Border States opened new branches in Odessa, TX and Charlotte, NC.
The Odessa branch includes a 32,000-square-foot warehouse and 14 acres of yard space. Border States Branch Manager Greg Gammons said the new location enables the company to stock more inventory and expand its underground capabilities with medium voltage cable and pad mount transformers. The branch has grown its inventory from $11.5 million to $13.8 million.
“This facility provides us the opportunity to instill a best-in-class experience when choosing Border States as a supplier,” Border States VP of Distribution Zach Kincaid said in an Oct. 24 news release. “It’s something our loyal customers and employee-owners have been deserving of for years, and we’re ready to continue building on our success and commitment to serving all customers in the Permian Basin who choose Border States.”
The Charlotte, NC branch features a 135,000-square-foot warehouse and a two acre lot. Border States said the expanded space has tripled the company’s wire capacity and enhanced its manufacturing capabilities.
“This new facility provides us with the extra space necessary to enhance our services and solutions for customers,” Border States Area Director Matt Bagley said in an Oct. 17 news release. “It has enabled us to streamline operations, ensuring faster service and more efficient management of customer requirements.”
Border States was No. 6 on MDM’s 2024 Top Distributors List for Electrical, Data & Security.
