Hardware, lumber and building materials buying cooperative Do it Best has a new business director, as the company appointed Chris Okapal to the role.
Okapal brings 25 years of experience in the consumer goods industry to the role, in which he will spearhead strategic initiatives to expand Fort Wayne, IN-based Do it Best’s reach and success. A June 24 news release details that Okapal will be responsible for fostering and enhancing partnerships with existing and prospective members.
Okapal spent the past two years as Vice President of Sales & Business Development at Valqari after a 23-year tenure at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Company
“Chris’s comprehensive understanding of the consumer goods industry, combined with his analytical skills, consumer insights, and knowledge of industry dynamics, make him a valuable addition to our team,” Do it Best VP of Sales and Business Development Greg Fuller said. “We are confident that with Chris’ dedication to excellence and proven leadership, we will achieve our aggressive growth objectives and continue to improve the exceptional service we offer our members.”
In April, Do it Best completed its previously announced merger with fellow cooperative United Hardware.
