Belgian polymers manufacturer HEXPOL has acquired rubber compounder Portage Precision Polymers, Ravenna, OH, for $13.2 million. Portage Precision operates two facilities in Ohio – Ravenna and Mogadore – and the Ravenna facility is not included in the transaction.
"The acquisition … broadens and strengthens our presence in rubber compounding," said Tracy Garrison, president and CEO, HEXPOL Compounding NAFTA. "Portage Precision expands our capabilities and capacities to serve our customers in a more efficient way."
HEXPOL Group has approximately 3,500 employees in 10 countries.
