(NYSE: CAS), Oak Brook, IL, a global distributor of specialty metal and plastic products, reported second-quarter sales of $150.4 million, up 10.3 percent from the same period a year ago. The company recorded a net loss for the period of $8.5 million, compared to a year-ago loss of $22.5 million.
Sales for the first six months were $296.3 million, up 8.8 percent year-over-year. The company recorded a net loss for the period of $13.6 million, compared to a year-ago loss of $36 million.
